If you have interesting content (Favorites, Posts, Videos, Photos), I would consider adding friends. But if you message me with a "Friends only" profile, or a profile with no content, I'm just gonna delete the message, so you might as well save both of us the time and not send it in the first place.

If you think you're sharing your favorites, but aren't sure, open an "icognito" or "private" browser window, and paste your profile URL into that. If you don't see your favorites, they're not set to be visible to everyone.

To make your favorites visible, you need to select each one of your favorite lists and manually set each one to "All Users" -- when you click your favorites list, on the left side of the screen you will see a list of all the favorites categories you have. Next to each one, when you hover over it you will see a pencil icon on the right side; click the pencil icon, then under "Who can see this playlist", select "All Users". Remember, you have to do this one at a time for each favorite list, and don't forget to click "Save" before closing the dialog box. :)
